COLAB Studio Theatre in Pawtucket, a new local theatre has officially opened it’s doors.

CoLab Studio Theatre is a brand new nonprofit theatre founded by RI residents David Sackal and Aubrey Dion. Each one is multi-talented. To learn about them. both are listed in our Actors and Directors Categories.

CoLab’s mission promotes productions that are “uncommon, unconventional, underrepresented, and new.” A hallmark of their theatrical season is the “New Works Slot” which is reserved for local playwrights who wish to workshop their scripts. Submissions can be made through CoLab’s website to be considered for this coming Spring.

In addition to performances, CoLab offers acting classes and a free monthly Play Reading Club. CoLab is hitting the ground running by also announcing audition for their first production, “Gladys Nights.” Auditions will be August 21-22 at their location and more information can be found on their website.
